Join与 Join inの区别

1、compete是竞争;对抗;比赛
e.g.We can compete with the best teams.
我们能与最好的队竞争。
compete in是在……方面与人媲美,比得上，in后面一般加哪一方面
e.g.These paintings can't compete in expressive power with those ones.
这些水彩画在表达能力方面比不上那些。
2、join 一般邻接、会合、相遇时用
e.g.This path joins the highway up ahead.
这条路在前面与公路相接。
join in 在加入到……组织中，参加;同...一起时用
e.g.He never joined in the usual sports of the boys.他从不参加孩子们的一般体育活动。
3、当然也要视情况而定，没有那么绝对的事情
